FAQs When will the Chevy Chase Center reconstruction project be complete? Completion of all construction work is scheduled for mid-2006.
When will Giant Food/Pharmacy re-open? Giant Food/Pharmacy is scheduled to re-open mid-2006.
Is CVS coming back? Where will I go to fill my prescriptions? No, CVS is not returning to Chevy Chase Center. Please talk to your CVS pharmacist or your doctor about filling your prescriptions at an alternate CVS pharmacy. The new Giant Food store will have a pharmacy when it opens mid-2006.
Which stores will return to the Chevy Chase Center? The following stores, in addition to many new retailers, will return when the Chevy Chase Center is complete: Clyde’s Restaurant, Giant Food, Galaxie Drycleaners, and Chevy Chase Bank.
What restaurants will be located in the new Chevy Chase Center? In addition to Clyde’s Restaurant, new restaurants will include Potomac Pizza, Gifford’s Ice Cream & Candy Co. & Sushi-Ko. In The Collection there will be two restaurants, M Cafe & Bar and Famoso Bar, Lounge and Restaurant. What new stores can I expect to see at the Chevy Chase Center? The Chevy Chase Land Company has released the list of new tenants at the Chevy Chase Center in advance of the opening. We are very excited by the mix of tenants who will be moving into the Center and we think the community will be too!
Will there be substantial parking at Chevy Chase Center? The Center accommodates 1,400 cars in a combination of a controlled surface parking lot and below grade parking garage. The parking at Chevy Chase Center is for our customers only, however. Those customers with validation stamps from a Chevy Chase Center or Collection tenant are only charged $1.00 for the 1st hour, $3.00 up to 2 hours, $9.00 up to 3 hours, $12.00 up to 4 hours and a maximum amount of $15.00, for all day. Parkers not shopping at the Center are liable for higher fees.
What time of day does construction begin on the site? Weekdays (Monday thru Friday), construction work on the site begins at 7:00 a.m. On weekends and holidays, construction work on the site begins at 9:00 a.m. What time of day does construction end on the site? Weekdays (Monday through Friday), construction work in the site will not extend past 7:00 p.m. On weekends and holidays, construction work on the site will not extend past 5:00 p.m.
Will the construction crew work on the weekend too? Construction crews are permitted to work on the site Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
